WARD CROCKETT
CONTRIBUTING WRITER

Ward Crockett is an award-winning filmmaker residing in Chicago. His short film Betweenwon several awards at the 2015 DePaul Premiere Film Festival, including Best Cinematography and the Jury Prize for Best Picture, and was nominated for Best Directing.

Ward’s short films have screened in festivals around the country, and his first feature-length film, a low-budget, Super 16 sci-fi/horror romp called Night Things (currently available on Amazon DVD), screened in the 2011 Motor City Nightmares Festival, Pittsburgh Horror Film Festival, ZedFest, 2012 Denver HorrorFest, and the 2012 Fear Féte Horror Film Festival, where it picked up the Best Fantasy Feature Award and a Best Actress nomination.

Ward has also worked on a number of comedic web series, including Spirits, Completely Normal Activity, and the controversial hit The Log Jam. In 2006, his parody of the TV showIt Takes a Thief was chosen by the Discovery Channel as a finalist in the You Spoof Discovery contest. 

Ward is currently at work on several short films as well as an HD edition of Night Things.
