LISA DEL ROSARIO

Lisa Del Rosario is recipient of the award for Outstanding Dance Choreography in the B. Iden Payne Awards and nominated for Best Short Work and Best Dancer for the Austin Critics Table Awards, Lisa del Rosario is a multifaceted artist--dancer, actress, teacher, choreographer, and a Feldenkrais Practitioner®. Clare Croft of the Austin American-Statesman referred to her as “One of Austin’s most thoughtful, yet quirky, performers.” A native Texan, Lisa trained at the Margo Marshall School of Ballet, Cleveland San Jose School of Ballet, and as a presidential scholarship student at the University of Texas. She went on to live in the Philippines and dance with the Philippine National Folk Dance Company Bayanihan. Lisa teaches at Ballet Austin, Core Therapy & Pilates, and is a regular guest resident at local high schools. She choreographs and dances for local performing companies: DA! Theatre Collective, Austin Playhouse, Ready/Set/Go, and independent artists Alyson Dolan, Sharon Marroquin, and Rosalyn Nasky.
